President Muhammadu Buhari has presented the flag of the All Progressives Congress to the APC governorship candidate in the June 18 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, Abiodun Oyebanji.
Buhari presented the flag to the governorship candidate at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.
Oyebanji was led to the President by the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
President Buhari said the emergence of Oyebanji would be a continuity of service after the governorship candidate had served as Chief of Chief, Commissioner, and Secretary to the State Government.

“You have served Ekiti State in many capacities, including as Chief of Staff, Commissioner, and Secretary to the State Government.
“Being governor will just be continuity of service. I honestly wish you the best of luck,” Buhari was quoted as saying in a statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
Also speaking, the APC National Chairman said the party was planning to win the election “by the grace of God”, adding that it was the reason the candidate was being presented for presidential blessings.
On his part, Governor Fayemi said Oyebanji had been involved in governance in Ekiti State in the past 20 years and has acquitted himself creditably.
