El-Rufai lauds military as troops kill bandit leader, other in Kaduna

The troops of Operation Forest Sanity have killed a notorious bandit leader, Isiya Danwasa, who was responsible for several killings, kidnappings, and cattle rustling operations, and his associate in Kaduna State.

The bandits were killed during a strategic ambush operation in Sabon Birni, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

This was disclosed via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Tuesday by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.

Aruwan quoted Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, as commending the troops for the diligent intelligence work and precise execution which led to the demise of Danwasa and his associate.

El-Rufai further appealed to the people of the state to continue to volunteer information to security forces.
