Female NYSC member killed in Kaduna

Unknown assailants have killed a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in the Kaduna South Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was gathered that the NYSC member was murdered by three people while jogging along a road in Barnawa GRA, Kaduna, on Wednesday evening.

The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, who confirmed the incident on Thursday, October 19, disclosed that it occurred at about 06:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Hassan said: “She was attacked by three men on a bike who collected her phone and stabbed her while she was screaming and struggling with them.

“On receipt of the information, our security operatives went to the scene immediately.

“She was rushed to Harmony Hospital for treatment where she was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.”

He added that the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Garba Yusuf, has ordered an investigation to arrest and prosecute the assailants.
