Few things to know about Oladips

Popular Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, well known as Oladips, was confirmed dead on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

A post on his Instagram account on Wednesday disclosed that the singer died at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Below are a few things to know about Oladips:

  • Oladips was born on March 24, 1995.
  • He was a Nigerian rapper, song writer and a performing artist.
  • He started music in the year 2012 with his first mic appearance on ‘Successful’ (a Drake Ft. Trey Songz cover).
  • The musician came to limelight after winning D’banj’s ‘King is here’ competition. He was later signed to rapper Reminisce’ record label, Edge Records.
  • The singer was best known for his hit singles Ajala, Mainland 2 Island ft Zlatan, and Lalakukulala ft Reminisce.
  • In 2019 he parted ways with Reminisce’s record label.
  • He collaborated with several musicians, including CDQ, Zlatan, the late Mohbad, Reminisce, and T-classic, among others.
  • He died on November 14, 2023, at the age of 28.
