FG changes date for national award

The Federal Government has changed the date for the collection of the National Honour award for the recipients to yet undisclosed date.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Ibiene Roberts, made this known via a circular issued by the Director of Information in the ministry, Julie Jacobs, on Tuesday, May 30.

The date for the collection of the award certificates and medals was earlier fixed for the recipients to pick them up on Thursday, June 1.

Roberts, however, noted that due to circumstances beyond the control of the ministry, the date for the collection of the instruments of the award as already published in some national dailies is not feasible.
