Fire guts GTBank

A branch of the Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) in the Mararaba area of Abuja has been gutted by fire.

The GTBank is located along the Nyanya-Mararaba Expressway before Abacha Road, Karu.

Mararaba is a border town between the FCT and Nasarawa State.

It was gathered that the inferno, which was put out at about 8 a.m. on Friday, was caused by a power surge from the inverter system.

A statement from the Service added that the fire started from the server room at the top floor of the building.

Batteries, the inverter system, and some furniture were lost to the fire.
