Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Fubara and Wike, who were seen shaking hands upon meeting at the Villa, are currently attending the meeting of the Nigeria Police Counci chaired by President Bola Tinubu.
The police council meeting is usually attended by 36 state governors and the FCT Minister.
The meeting of the two politicians and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) followed the impeachment proceedings launched against the governor by the Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday.
There are reports of cold relationship between Fubara and Wike.
Fubara, on Monday, vowed to resist any unjustified impeachment attempt against him, saying he has not done anything to warrant any impeachment by the lawmakers.
