FULL LIST: Oshoala, Ajibade nominated for CAF Player of the Year award

Super Falcons forwards, Asisat Oshoala and Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and four others have been nominated for the 2023 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women’s Player of the Year award.

Other Nigerian players nominated for the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award are Uchenna Kanu, Osinachi Ohale, Toni Payne, and Christy Ucheibe.

This was contained in a 30-player nomination list released by CAF on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Oshoala is the current holder of the top prize after winning the 2022 edition of the award.

The Super Falcons’ coach, Randy Waldrum, was listed as one of the nominees for coach of the year, while Deborah Abiodun, Esther Ajakaye, and Oluwatosin Demehin were nominated for Best Young Player of the Year.

The 2023 CAF awards which will be held on December 11 in Marrakech, Morocco.
