The United Kingdom (UK) Government has released the list of companies authorised to sponsor skilled immigrants, including Nigerians, under the temporary worker immigration route.
The list, which was updated on January 12, 2024, showed that there are presently 99,856 approved companies.
This represented an increase of 31,226 enterprises over the 68,630 approved as of January 2023.
The companies on the list operate in a variety of industries, including technology, commerce, education, media and advertising, and engineering.

The skilled worker path comprises charity workers, skilled workers, creative workers, global business mobility, senior or expert personnel, and international athletes.
The UK government, in a statement on its website, said: “This document lists worker and temporary worker sponsors. It includes information about the category of workers they’re licensed to sponsor and their sponsorship rating.
“The skilled worker route includes charity workers, skilled workers, creative workers, global business mobility: senior or specialist workers, and international sportspersons.”
