Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has directed the state Head of Service to submit the relevant documents for the completion of the new ultra-modern state secretariat complex.
Idris gave the directive while inspecting the ongoing construction of the new state secretariat complex on Saturday, June 3.
The governor said the project was part of the liability inherited from the previous administration.
He said: “The completion of the project is part of my campaign promises. I’m ready to support the civil servants and give them conducive environment and working tools.”

Governor Idris stated that project, which was awarded in 2012 by the administration of former Governor Usman Dakingari, would be completed by his government because of its importance to the state and its workforce.
Idris also visited Bayan Tsofo Tasha where he pledged to construct roads for the community.
“I’m going to construct this road as I promised during my campaign. This road has economic importance attached to it,” the governor said.
Speaking, the director in charge of the secretariat project in Kebbi State Ministry of Works, Usman Sheahu, disclosed that the project was awarded to RockWell Nigeria Limited, adding that a lot of work had been done in some sections of the complex.
