Gov Yusuf suspends Kano agency MD for selling govt grains

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has ordered the immediate suspension of the Managing Director of Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO), Dr Tukur Minjibir, from office over alleged misconduct.

Yusuf suspended the KASCO MD in a letter dated September 12, 2023, and conveyed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Baffa Bichi.

The managing director, according to a statement issued by the Governor’s Press Secretary, Bature Dawakin-Tofa, on Wednesday, September 13, was suspended for alleged involvement in an inappropriate sale of grains belonging to the state government.

Minjibir was directed to hand over the affairs of the company to the most senior officer immediately, pending the outcome of an investigation.
