State governors on the platform of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) have met behind closed doors over the recent financial autonomy granted to the Local Government Areas by the Supreme Court.
It was gathered that the governors, who met in Abuja on Wednesday night, discussed the N70,000 new national minimum wage, though not listed on the agenda.
On the agenda was also an update on the United Nations General Assembly, and State Contribution and Shareholder Rights in Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC).
The governors also received presentations from the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, as well as from the World Bank Country Office.

The meeting presided over by the Forum Chairman Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara had in attendance the governors of Abia, Kogi, Anambra, Delta, Plateau, Yobe, Oyo, Imo, Benue, Cross River, Ondo, and Zamfara.
Others were governors of Bauchi, Bayelsa, Kano, Sokoto, Kebbi, Gombe, Nasarawa, Lagos, Ekiti, Kano, and Akwa-Ibom States.
Others included the deputy governors of Borno and Enugu States.
