Gunmen kidnap Adamawa Speaker’s Chief of Staff

Gunmen have abducted the Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Usman Sahabi, in Yola, the state capital.

It was gathered that Sahabi, a staff of the Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation, was abducted at his home in the Wuro Chekke area of the state at about 1 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023.

About five gunmen were said to have forcefully had their way into his room and took him to an unknown destination.

Confirming the incident, the Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, said the police have deployed all operational assets to ensure the Speaker’s Chief of Staff is rescued alive.
