Gunmen kidnap Babcock teaching hospital official in Ogun

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a senior nursing officer at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilishan Remo in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, Elizabeth Uruakpa.

It was gathered that the hospital official was abducted by gunmen at about 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

The incident was confirmed by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, on Friday.

Odutola said efforts were ongoing to secure Uruakpa’s release.

Gunmen kidnap PDP chieftain in Ibadan

The police spokesperson said: “A distress call was received from Ilishan near the new market at about 05:10 p.m. that a Babcock teaching hospital official, Elizabeth Uruakpa, was abducted by young armed men who blocked her Honda CRV with their unregistered Red Toyota Camry and zoomed off with her.

“We have mobilised into the bush and the officer in charge of anti-kidnapping has been contacted for possible clue and movement.”
