Gunmen have killed no fewer than 13 persons following attacks on some communities in Bokkos and Mangu Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
The incident was confirmed by the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Alabo said three residents were also injured, adding that the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina, who visited Bokkos, condoled with the families of the deceased.
He said: “The commissioner wants the people of Plateau State to know that all hands are on deck to make sure that this menace is nipped in the bud.

“He has already made a deployment to those general areas and he has gone to see things for himself.
“He has also been briefed on the previous security arrangement and what he needs to do at this particular point in time.”
The police spokesman noted that the command is working with other security agencies to ensure that insecurity in all parts of the state is nipped in the bud.
