Gunmen kill APC chairman in Osun

The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Atakumosa East Central Local Government Area of Osun State, Gbenga Ogbara, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

It was gathered that Ogbara was killed by some assailants, who attacked his residence in Igangan in the early hours of Monday.

The gunmen were said to have shot the APC chairman dead and also injured his wife.

The tragic incident was confirmed by the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, noting that investigation was ongoing on the attack.

The police spokesperson said: “The APC Chairman was killed at about 12 am by some gunmen.

“Policemen have since been deployed to the area. Investigation is ongoing on the matter. The criminals will not escape justice.”
