Gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed a private health worker, Akinola Oyabiyi, in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
It was gathered that the gunmen killed Oyabiyi in Oba-Ile, close to the Akure Airport, while he was driving home at about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
A family source disclosed that the health worker was shot before he could attempt to escape from his vehicle.

The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Saturday, February 15.
Odunlami said the police were investigating the incident and working towards apprehending the gunmen.
