Gunmen have razed the palace of Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife, the traditional ruler of Isseke community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

An indigene of the town, identified simply as Emmanuel, said the palace was one of four buildings, including the family house of the acting President General of the town, that were burnt by the gunmen.

Emmanuel said the traditional tuler was yet to bury his brother who died last year because of the activities of the criminal gangs in Isseke.

He said the assailants’ activities may not be unconnected to the loss of members of the gangs in recent operations by security operatives.
