Unknown gunmen have shot the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12 with headquarters in Bauch State, Audu Adamu Madaki.
It was gathered that the AIG’s orderly was killed in the attack which occurred at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
The AIG was said to have been attacked at the Barde Zangidi area of Kaduna State.
Madaki, it was further learnt, sustained gunshot wound in the attack.

The AIG was said to be travelling to the monthly conference of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, and senior police officers from the rank of commissioners of police in Abuja before he was attacked in Kaduna State.
Meanwhile, the Bauchi State Police Command has yet to react to the incident as of the time of filing this report.
