Gunshots as Amaechi, Abe’s supporters clash in Port Harcourt

There was panic at the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State on Wednesday as gunshots rented the atmosphere around the premises.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at the secretariat located along Woji Road, GRA, Port Harcourt, following protests by APC members during screening on Wednesday.

Scores of APC members loyal to former Senator, Magnus Abe, thronged the premises, alleging hijack of state assembly aspirants screening and ward/state delegate selection.

Abe, who served as a Senator for Rivers South East Senatorial District, is a governorship aspirant of the APC.
