Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has been named the Young Premier League Player for the 2022/23 season.
The Premier League made this known via a statement shared on its website on Saturday, May 27.
“Erling Haaland has completed a Premier League awards double by being named the 2022/23 Hublot Young Player of the Season,” it noted.
The Norwegian was also named the 2022/23 Premier League Player of the Season on Saturday.

Haaland becomes the first player in Premier League history to win both the Young Player and Premier League Player of the Season awards in the same campaign.
It comes after a record-breaking debut season for the 22-year-old striker, who has scored 36 goals in 35 appearances, the most by a player in a single campaign, helping City retain the Premier League title.
In winning the Young Player prize, Haaland makes it a third successive season in which a Man City star has claimed it.
Phil Foden was the winner in each of the previous two campaigns.
The award was introduced in 2018/19, when it was won by Trent Alexander-Arnold, and is given to the best player aged 23 or under at the start of the season.
Haaland received the most combined votes from the public and a Premier League panel, topping an eight-man shortlist, including Sven Botman, Moises Caicedo, Alexander Isak, Alexis Mac Allister, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka.
