Another pilgrim from Kebbi State, Muhammad Suleman, has passed away after a brief illness in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
It was gathered that Suleman from Argungu Local Government Area of Kebbi State died after a brief illness on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Confirming his demise via a statement, the Chairman of Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, said: “The deceased died on Sunday after a brief illness and his funeral prayer took place at the Al-Masjid Al-Haram (Ka’aba).
“He was buried according to Islamic rites on the same day.
“On behalf of the Kebbi State Government, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, Kebbi pilgrims and the entire people of the state.
“We pray to the Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul as well as the souls of departed Muslims, Jannatul Firdaus.”
A pilgrim from Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Tawalikatu Busare Alako, was earlier confirmed dead in Mecca.
The pilgrim was said to have died after a brief illness on Saturday, May 25.
Aliyu-Enabo added that the deceased’s funeral prayer and burial took place at the Al-Masjid Al-Haram (Ka’aba) according to Islamic rites on Saturday.
