Idris approves N4.2m for water treatment, soft starter installation in Kebbi

Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, has approved N4.2 million for the purchase of water treatment chemicals and soft starter installation at Dukku high lift pump in the state.

Idris, who gave the approval at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, June 8, said the purchase of water treatment chemicals will reduce the suffering of the people.

He added that after the installation of a soft starter at Dukku, all residents in the state capital and environs will enjoy the 24-hour water supply.

The governor said: “Supply of water is part of our campaign promises and by the special grace of God, people from the four emirates will start drinking water supply by the government water board.

“More of the good things that will benefit the masses are on the way, inshallah, my government is for the people, which I am ready to give them a sense of belonging.”

Idris, therefore, urged the people of Kebbi State to remain calm, saying his administration is ready to provide more dividends of democracy to them.
