“Consequently, the IGP has directed the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Abiodun Alabi, to carry out a thorough investigation into the matter and forward his report as urgent as possible for further action.”
Ibrahim, one of the five police escorts attached to Burna Boy, was said to have opened fire on two fun seekers, Irebami Lawrence and his friend, identified simply as Tolu, at the club last Wednesday.
The shooting was said to have occurred after the self-acclaimed African Giant allegedly made advances at Lawrence’s wife.
Lawrence was said to have resisted the alleged advances at his wife, leading to confrontation between him and the singer’s police escort.
It was gathered that the 27-year-old man was shot in the thigh while his friend was hit in the head by a bullet.
