The Group Head, Corporate Communications, Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, in a statement, quoted Aliko Dangote as thanking President Bola Tinubu for his support, encouragement, and thoughtful advice towards the actualisation of the project.

Dangote said the refinery can load 2,900 trucks a day at its truck-loading gantries, adding that the products from the refinery will conform to Euro V specifications.

He stated that the refinery design complies with the World Bank, U.S. EPA, European emission norms, and Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) emission/effluent norms.

The refinery had earlier received the sixth batch of one million barrels of crude supplied by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).
