Jigawa varsity gets 14 new professors

The Governing Council of Federal University Dutse (FUD) in Jigawa State has approved the promotion of 14 academic staff members to the rank of professor.

The university’s Chief Information Officer, Abdullah Yayaha, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, August 9, 2024.

Yahaya noted that the council also approved the promotion of 38 officials to the rank of readers.

He gave the names of the new professors as Ehien Alfred, Muhammad Bako, Ilu Jahun, Jibo Umar, Muhammad Karage, Aminu Fage, and Musa Tambai.

NUC accredits 10 programmes for Jigawa varsity

Others are Ado Siro, Mikail Isyaku, Sanusi Ahmad, Abubakar Magaji, Bilyaminu Hanga, Felix Eguda, and Yamuna Kani.

The FUD spokesman quoted the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo, as congratulating all the beneficiaries and praying for their guidance and protection.

Sabo also urged them to rededicate themselves to the service of the university.
