Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) has decentralised the State Fire Service and moved its operations to all the 23 local government areas to improve service delivery.
Executive Secretary of KADSEMA, Muhammed Mukaddas, stated this in Kaduna on Thursday.
According to him, the decentralisation of operation is part of measures aimed at ensuring prompt response to fire incidences and emergency situations in all parts of the state.

“There is the need to reduce response time in times of emergency by being closer to the communities,” he said.
Mukaddas said that the fire service, a department within the agency, had presented letters of transfer to chairmen of the 23 local government councils in the state.
He called on the people of the state to be proactive and vigilant in order to avoid fire outbreak in their respective areas.
