England coach, Gareth Southgate, has announced his 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Among those included were Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Harry Maguire, Phil Foden, and James Maddison.
However, the most notable absentees were James Ward-Prowse, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori, Jadon Sancho, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The Three Lions will kick off Group B on the tournament’s opening day against Iran, a side they have never faced in a senior competitive international.
Gareth Southgate’s men will be up against Wales in the group stage in Qatar with their fixture scheduled for November 29.

They will also face the United States, who they have met twice in the World Cup finals – in 1950 and 2010 – failing to win on either occasion.
