Kannywood actress, Hadiza Gabon, has denied knowing and deceiving Malam Bala Musa who claimed she had earlier promised to marry him before reneging on the promise.
Musa had earlier accused the actress of extorting N396,000 from him and declined to meet him in Gusau and also refused to marry him.
Gabon, who appeared before Justice Khadi Rilwanu Kyaudai of Sharia Court in Kaduna on Tuesday, however said she never knew Musa.
She equally told the court that she had never had any relationship with the man.
Musa, a civil servant, earlier told the court that the Kannywood actress promised to marry him but later reneged on the promise after taking N396,000 from him.
However, the actress dismissed the allegation through her lawyer, Barrister Mubarak Sani Jibril.

Barrister Jibril said: “After hearing his allegations, she actually gave her own response which of course according to her, she has never met him, she never knew what happened. He met her on Facebook purportedly owned by her, so, we don’t know anything about that; we have no business with that, we have heard him, we will allow the court to decide.”
Musa’s counsel, Barrister N. Murtala, said the supposed lover, who happened to be his client, met Gabon on Facebook and later became friends, adding that she promised to marry him.
“They met on Facebook, from there they became friends and the lady promised to marry him and he started spending money on her. She denied knowing him, but we have informed the court that we are going to bring witnesses on that,” the lawyer said.
He added that they did not oppose her bail because the offence is bailable.
The case was therefore adjourned to June 28 for continuation of hearing.
