Kannywood director, Nura Waye, is dead

A director of popular Kannywood series film, ‘Izzar So’, Nura Mustapha Waye, has been pronounced dead.

Kannywood star and leading actor of the film, Lawan Ahmad, popularly known as Umar Hashim in the series, disclosed this via his Facebook page in the early hours of Sunday.

“From God we come and unto Him is our return. Allah has called the soul of Nura Mustapha Waye director of IZZAR SO,” he wrote.

Ahmad, however, failed to disclose the cause of the death of Waye.

He noted that the late Kannywood director would be laid to rest by 11am in Kano on Sunday.

He prayed to Allah to repose the soul of the deceased, saying: “May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant us a faithful ending.”

‘Izzar So’ is one of the popular YouTube-based Kannywood popular series that drew millions of views from people across the northern region.
