Kano govt sacks 3 civil servants for misconduct, promotes 132

Kano State Government has promoted 132 civil servants in the state for the month of July 2022.

The Kano State Civil Service Commission Chairman, Uba Karaye, made this known during a monthly commission meeting for senior staff promotion held at the conference hall of the commission on Thursday.

According to Karaye, 53 civil servants were promoted from grade level 08 to 09, 75 others from grade 10 – 14, while four others were promoted to level 15 and above.

Karaye, who was represented by the Permanent Commissioner, Saleh Kwaru, urged the promoted employees to reciprocate the kind gesture by being committed and hard-working in the discharge of their duties for maximum results.

He, however, said the commission has approved the sack of three civil servants for gross misconduct that contravened civil service rule.

Karaye added that the commission has approved the transfer of service for seven staff to different MDAs.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the commission, Balarabe Karaye, commended the members of the commission for their zeal just as he urged them to be upright and be guided by the scheme of service before taking any decision for effective and efficient service delivery in the state.
