The Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State has matriculated 601 postgraduate students for the 2022/2023 session.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Armaya’u Bichi, disclosed this during the 5th matriculation of FUDMA’s School of Postgraduate Studies in Dutsinma on Friday, September 8, 2023.
The VC stated that no fewer than 1,960 candidates applied for various programmes, out of which 601 students were admitted.
Bichi said: “Your choice of study at FUDMA is a clear indication that you believe in our learning and teaching quality, and you are poised to attain an amazing academic experience.
“As we gather here today, we acknowledge and applaud the achievements of these brilliant minds who have secured their place among our esteemed academic community.
“Out of 1,916 ambitious individuals who aspired to be part of our school of postgraduate studies, these 601 were admitted.

”These exceptional individuals have demonstrated not only their academic prowess but also their dedication to furthering their understanding and contributing to the advancement of knowledge.
“To the new postgraduate students, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your admission to Federal University Dutsin-Ma.”
He said FUDMA is not merely a place of learning, but a hub of intellectual exploration, a platform for innovative thinking, and a launch pad for groundbreaking research.
The Vice-Chancellor told the students that their decision to pursue postgraduate studies in the school reflected their desire to embark on a journey of discovery, impact, and transformation.
Bichi added: “Excellence is not a destination, it is a continuous journey.
“As you immerse yourself in your chosen fields of study, remember that the pursuit of excellence requires dedication, discipline, and a hunger for knowledge.

The vice-chancellor said the university’s officials are not just educators, adding that they are mentors, facilitators of learning, and champions of students’ growth.
Bichi further urged the new students to make the most of the resources the university officials would offer to them, seek their guidance, and embrace the opportunities for intellectual exploration that they provide.
