A former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Wednesday, emerged as the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the 2023 general election.
Kwankwaso emerged as the NNPP’s standard bearer at the party’s presidential primaries held at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Kwankwaso, who was a sole aspirant, emerged as the party’s flag bearer through a voice vote by delegates at the party’s National Convention.
In his acceptance remarks, the former governor appreciated all those who dropped their presidential aspirations for him and the delegates that elected him.
