Kwara hotel owner found dead in facility

The Managing Director of a popular hotel in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has been found dead in one of the hotel rooms.

The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Okasanmi Ajayi, made the disclosure in Ilorin on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Ajayi stated that a supervisor at the hotel reported the incident to the police in Ilorin on Thursday, September 28.

He added that a team of detectives was immediately dispatched to the hotel, saying the deceased was found lying motionless on the hotel room bed.

The police spokesman said the body showed no sign of physical violence, assuring that the police would investigate the cause of the hotel owner’s death.

Ajayi added: “Doctors at a hospital confirmed the hotel owner dead and the body was deposited in a morgue pending autopsy.

“Details of the investigation will be made public as soon as possible.”
