No fewer than 50,000 youths and widows have benefited from over N1 billion federal constituency projects of a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bello Kaoje, in Kebbi State.
Kaoje, who represents Suru and Bagudo Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, while addressing journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital on Sunday, said the gesture was part of his campaign promises to empower his constituents and residents of the state at large.
The lawmaker stated that the projects executed were aimed at bringing succor and development to the area as well as complementing the government’s efforts in developing the communities.
Kaoje, who noted that a lot of projects have been executed by him in his constituency, said over 5000 motorcycles were purchased for the youths while grinding machines were also given to the widows and orphans.

“You see if I said I should mention all my projects we are going to spend more hours hear and it will not finish, among all the members you are free to go and see my constituency projects, my people are always happy with me and that is why I came unopposed during our primary elections,” he added.
Some items distributed included 2 cars, tricycles, motorcycles, pumping machine, grinding machine, sewing machine, 7 deep freezers, 8 assorted grains, 9 school exercise books, 10 mattresses, 11 roofing sheets, 12 cement, 13 cash grants 14 training, and empowerment skills acquisition centre in Illo Kaoje and Dakingari.
Other were 500 solar street lights, solar-powered boreholes, 10 blocks of 6 classrooms, 5 town halls across the constituency’s hospital in Lolo mosques, and drainages, among others.
