Lovers found dead in Lagos apartment

A man and a woman, suspected to be lovers, have been found dead in an apartment in the Ojodu Berger area of Lagos State.

It was gathered that the man, a filmmaker, had a misunderstanding with his lover, which degenerated into a heated argument and a fight, resulting in the woman’s death on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

It was learnt that the man allegedly stabbed himself and died after he discovered that the woman had given up the ghost.

Confirming the incident on Monday, February 5, the Lagos State Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the death of the lovers was reported to the Ojodu Police Division on Sunday.

Hundeyin said the lifeless bodies of the lovers –Adebayo Adeseko, 30, and his partner, Sarah Adesanya, 36 – were found at their apartment at Gbete Street in Ojodu Berger, Lagos.

He stated that a team of police operatives later went to the scene, adding that the officers photographed the scene and evacuated the corpses to the mortuary for autopsy.

Hundeyin added that an investigation into the incident was ongoing.

A picture from the scene of the incident, presented by the police spokesperson, revealed the man lying in a pool of blood.
