Man declared wanted for defiling 3-year-old daughter

The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has announced N1 million bounty on a 62-year-old man, Magnus Okpalannadi, for allegedly defiling his three-year-old daughter in Anambra State.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Head of Information and Public Relations of the ministry, Grace Njoku, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Kennedy-Ohanenye stated that the ministry received a report that Okpalannadi, a resident of Onitsha, Anambra State, was alleged to have been sexually molesting his daughter.

The man was later said to have disappeared before he could be apprehended.

The minister noted: “President Bola Tinubu-led administration has zero tolerance for child abuse and molestation.

“Hence would ensure the immediate prosecution of the paedophile to serve as a deterrent to would-be perpetrators.”

Kennedy-Ohanenye reiterated the commitment of the government to creating a safe environment for its citizens.

She further pledged the government’s resolve to protect the rights of every Nigerian child, woman and the vulnerable, and upholding their dignity.
