A Magistrate Court sitting in the Yaba area of Lagos State has remanded Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, fondly called Sam Larry, in police custody.
Others remanded by the court were Ogedengbe Fisayo, 37; and Ayobami Sadiq.
Naira Marley and Sam Larry were recently arrested by the operatives of the Lagos State Police Command over an ongoing investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, well known as Mohbad.
The Command, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, requested that Naira Marley and Sam Larry, who were arraigned for conspiracy and murder, be remanded for 30 days pending the completion of their investigation.
However, the Chief Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, ruled that the singer and others be remanded for 21 days in the police State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCID).
Olatunbosun also ordered that the suspects be granted access to medicals and lawyers of their choice.

She, therefore, adjourned the case until October 25.
The Command had earlier summoned Sam Larry and Naira Marley for questioning over Mohbad’s demise.
Naira Marley later announced his readiness to return to the country to assist in the ongoing investigation into the death of his former signee, adding that “I have no hand in the death of Ilerioluwa, either directly or indirectly”.
The Lagos State Police Command had announced the conclusion of the autopsy on the remains of Mohbad, who died on September 12 at the age of 27 and was buried the next day.
The Command also exhumed the singer’s remains for autopsy following the circumstances surrounding his demise.
It also inaugurated a special investigation team to probe the death of the famous singer just as Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join in the investigation.
