Morocco’s inflation rate drops to 1.3%

Morocco’s annual inflation, measured by the consumer price index, dropped to 1.3 per cent in July 2024 from 1.8 per cent in June.

Morocco’s statistics agency announced this on Monday, August 19, 2024.

Food prices, the main driver for inflation, rose 0.5 per cent from a year earlier, while non-food inflation increased by 1.8 per cent.

Nigeria’s inflation rate drops to 33.4%

Core inflation, which excludes more volatile goods, was up 0.1 per cent month-on-month and 2.1 per cent year-on-year.
