Mother, 2 children burnt to death in Ondo

A middle-aged woman and her two children have lost their lives in a fire incident in Ondo town, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

A family source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the victims were burnt beyond recognition in the inferno which lasted for hours on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

The source, on Monday, said the mother was a petty trader, while the two children were identified as Bukola, aged 16, and 11-year-old Ife

He added that the fire destroyed the entire building where the victims were trapped.

According to him, the efforts by neighbours to save their lives proved abortive as the Ondo Stare Fire Service in the town failed to mobilise.
