Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, popularly known as Mohbad, has alleged that his label boss, Naira Marley, and other members of the Marlian group are after his life.

Mohbad made the allegation in an Instagram live video after his release from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) custody.

The popular singer known for his single hit, ‘Feel Good’, was arrested on Thursday alongside another musician, Zinoleesky, and four others with illicit drugs in a dawn raid on their apartment in Lagos.

The NDLEA had said that some qualities of cannabis and Molly were found with Mohbad and Zinoleesky and four others in their residence and car.

However, the popular singer, who took to Instagram after his release, said Naira Marley and other members of the Marlian group should be held responsible if anything unpleasant happens to him.

Mohbad, who was signed to the music label of Naira Marley in 2021, said: I don’t know these people have been hating on me. They have been doing bad things on me, I went mad because of this issue, now they are trying to kill me.

Meanwhile, Naira Marley has confirmed Mohbad’s release from the NDLEA custody.

The boys are under a lot of stress after being ambushed in the middle of the night with no warrant. I’m urgently returning to Lagos now now now.”

Naira Marley, who has been facing trial over suspected internet fraud, in another tweet, said: “What is happening to my brothers is disgusting. The injustice is unfair and this is beginning to look like a pattern. First me now my artists. Free Zinoleesky, free shubomi, free micee and dosky.”
