Naira trades N1,641/$ at official market

The naira, on Friday, October 11, 2024, depreciated at the official market, trading at N1,641.27 to the dollar.

Data from the FMDQ Exchange, a platform that oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), revealed that the naira lost N82k.

IMF lowers borrowing costs by $1.2bn annually

This represents a 1.15 per cent loss when compared to the previous trading date on Thursday, October 10, when it exchanged at N1,640.45 to a dollar.

At the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window, the naira traded between N1,675 and N1,591 against the dollar.
