The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) has reiterated its readiness to work with Osun State Government in realising its digital economy plans.
NCC Zonal Comptroller, Mr. Ekisola Oladosu, said this during his visit to the office of the Coordinating Director of Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Murtala Adekilekun, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in Osogbo.
Oladosu said that the Director-General of the commission directed him to visit the state to inspect the facilities on ground for the fibre optics foundation for the digital economy.
He also said that he was in the state to get relevant documents which would be useful to the commission for the successful take-off of the project.
Oladosu commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for the noble idea of making the state a digitalised economy.
In his remarks, Adekilekun said the governor was ready to work with NCC to digitalise the state’s economy.

He said the unveiling of the ICT innovation policies and the launching of the fibre optics by the governor, on Monday, was part of the programme to mark Adeleke’s 100 days in office.
Adekilekun said that the foundation laying of fibre optic was the first phase of the digital economy.
According to him, it will cover towns like Ede, Osogbo and Olorunda, while other towns will follow without any delay.
The governor had on March 6 flagged off fibre optic and broadband connection for the take-off of digital economy in the state.
