A notorious queen of drug cartel supplying psychoactive substances to traffickers in Taraba State, Lami Mai Rigima, has been arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The drug dealer was arrested by the NDLEA months after being placed on their wanted list.
The 40-year-old drug dealer came under the anti-narcotic agency’s searchlight when a number of traffickers arrested in Taraba State in 2021 and early 2022 fingered her as their supplier.
The manhunt for Rigima, however, paid off on Monday, April 4, 2022, when the NDLEA operatives tracked the drug supplier to her hideout in Iware village in the Ardo Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State.

According to a statement made available to The Star on Wednesday by the NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, the search for Rigima began in October 2021 following the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of a drug dealer, Abdullahi Madaki, aged 50.
After serving his brief jail sentence, Madaki returned to the illicit trade with Rigima still as his supplier.
“He was however re-arrested on 13th February 2022 while another trafficker, Jamilu Hassan, 20, who is also a member of Lamis supply chain, was nabbed on 24th February,” Babafemi stated.
Commending the agency officers in Taraba State for their efforts, the NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive of Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), charged the operatives and their compatriots in other commands across Nigeria to sustain the tempo of offensive action against the drug cartels in every part of the country.
