The Niger State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has picked Mr Samuel Gwamna as the running mate of the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Isah Liman Kantigi, for the 2023 general election.
Unveiling his running mate at the party’s secretariat in Minna, the Niger State capital while preceding his certificate of return, Kantigi said his nomination was after due consultations with stakeholders of the party in the state.

He noted that the selection was conducted “devoid of any sentiment or discrimination, but for the good and progress of the common man in the state”, adding: “I am ready to die for the common man and will ensure they are protected.”
Gwamna was a former chairman of Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
Gwamna, in his acceptance speech, lamented the state of insecurity in the state and the country and accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for “paying lip service” to bringing insecurity in the state and the country to an end.
He, however, expressed his appreciation to Kantigi and the Niger PDP for the nomination as well finding him worthy and competent to run with the flag bearer of the party in the 2023 general election.
Speaking, the state party leader, Senator Zainab Kure, congratulated the candidates and called on the candidates and PDP members to work hard and ensure that the party win the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.
