Security operatives have arrested two suspects in Plateau State for allegedly snatching Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) during Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
The Plateau State Commissioner of Police in charge of Election Security, Mamman Dauda, made the disclosure in Jos, the state capital, on Sunday.
Dauda said the suspects were arrested in Riyom Local Government Area of the state by officers of the special task force, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), and were handed over to the police for further investigation.
“The suspects are currently in the Criminal Investigation Departments (CID); we have commenced investigation into the matter,” he said.
