The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has won the presidential election in Yobe State.
The former Vice President polled 198,567 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 151,459 votes in the home state of the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

Announcing the results, the INEC Returning Officer in the state, Prof. Umar Pate, said Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) came third with 18,270 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) garnered 2,406 votes.
Atiku has also won Katsina, the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari.
