Nigerian-American woman, Amanda Azubuike, has been promoted to Brigadier General in the U.S. Army.
Azubuike, who was born in London before moving to U.S., was promoted to the rank at Fort Knox in the United States last weekend.
Taking to her Instagram page, she wrote: “I had the honor of receiving my star from Gen. James Rainey, U.S. Army Futures Command, during a ceremony at Fort Knox surrounded by family, friends, and fellow community leaders.
“I am honored to be serving, now as a Brigadier General, and grateful to everyone who impacted my life and contributed to this promotion.
“I look forward to continuing my work with MG Munera, and the rest of the USACC team.”
Amanda Azubuike had served as Aviator, Personal Assistant to Commanding officers in the United States Army.
