NSCDC promotes 5,010 officers

The Civil Defence, Immigration and Prisons Services Board (CDIPB), has approved the promotion of 5,010 officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to various ranks.

This was made known via a statement issued on Saturday by the NSCDC spokesman, Olusola Odumosu.

Odumosu stated that the Commandant General of the Corps, Ahmed Audi, said the promotion was timely.

Audi said the promotion was part of an effort to improve the welfare and conditions of service for officers and men of the Corps.

He said it was imperative for dedicated and deserving personnel to be promoted according to increased productivity and development of manpower.

He noted that from a total of 5,010 upgraded personnel, 4,494 were promoted while 516 got upgraded by conversion.
