The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has relocated the orientation camp for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members to Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education, Kangere in Bauchi State.

This was contained in a statement issued by the NYSC Coordinator in Bauchi State, Rifkatu Yakubu, on Monday, August 26, 2024.

Yakuhu said the measure was necessary to move the exercise to a temporary site to facilitate rehabilitation of the Permanent Orientation Camp, Wailo in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

She noted that Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has directed the total renovation of the existing camp structure.

“The relocation to the new facility becomes necessary so as to allow the state government to pursue the renovation work of the permanent orientation camp,” the NYSC coordinator said.

Yakubu said the NYSC deployed 1,900 prospective corps members to the state for the orientation exercise scheduled to hold between August 28 and September 17.

“Prospective corps members are advised to avoid night journeys. They are enjoined to always break their journeys and continue on the following day,” Yakubu added.
